In the inaugural year of Yoga Festival Toronto, participants and friends of the "Acorn Fund" pledged their support for the greater yoga community through their generous donations during the online registration process.
The Acorn Fund relies on its supporters to provide a solid financial foundation for our work in the yoga community. We thank everyone who donated to the Acorn Fund and whose heartwarming acts of faith in our Yoga community and generosity have allowed us to direct the Acorn Fund into a source of Yogic benefit to the general public.
Grantees will also receive a table at the event to present and promote the funded project, and will be required to give a 20-minute oral presentation at the Festival itself on how their work has unfolded
We are proud to announce that the recipient of this year's Acorn Fund Grant is the New Leaf Yoga Foundation.

Art Through Yoga 2009: PHYSICAL BY NATURE
Art moves us - our hearts, our bones, our minds- like yoga, creative energy in motion.
The spirit is stirred with compassion. Compassion is art in action. Without analysis or intellectual interruption, we experience relationship. In our selection of photography, we seek to explore and magnify the enigmatic union which is equally the nature of art and yoga.
This year's inaugural YFT Art Show will be taking place at the National Ballet School during the festival run. We're thrilled with the quality and depth of submissions.
